Checkered Past

Checkered Past is all about building community through music which is acoustic. All members of Checkered Past are singer-songwriters. Now based in Kansas City, the group is made up of Kerry Stanley (lead guitar and bass), Martha Haehl (multi-instrumentalist — you name it, she plays it), K.C. Compton (sound effects and percussion) and Lynn Snyder (rhythm guitar and bass). The instruments they play include guitars, fiddle, flute, mandolin and bass, with hand percussion, harmonica, dobro or banjo as spice. For the Stringband Rondevous, they will be joined by singer-songwriter and sound engineer and luthier, Bill Langsdorf.
